301. माँ पर पूत , बाप पर घोडा , बहुत नहीं पर थोड़ा थोड़ा।

Roman Script : Ma Par Poot , Baap Par Ghoda , Bahut Nahi Par Thoda Thoda
English Equivalent / Meaning : In habits , human's son resembles mothers, horse's son resembles his father. If not exactly,then at least some. In summary this is quoted when one man shows habits similar to his mother's.


302. राम राज्य।

Roman Script : Ram Rajya
English Equivalent / Meaning : Best state of governance in a place. When there is nothing bad and everything good related to government and life of ordinary people.


303. सठिया जाना।

Roman Script : Sathiya Jana
English Equivalent / Meaning : To cross 60 years of age or it is said when a person gets developed peculiar (sometimes irritating) habits which are generally associated with old age.


304. रंग में भंग पड़ना।

Roman Script : Rang Me Bhang Padna
English Equivalent / Meaning : To get disturbance in a successfully completing task


305. जोरू का गुलाम।

Roman Script : Joru Ka Gulam
English Equivalent / Meaning : Henpecked husband.

English Equivalent / Meaning : Blue eyed boy.


307. मन मन भावे मूढ़ हिलावे।

Roman Script : Man Man Bhawe Mood Hilave
English Equivalent / Meaning : Inside heart on wants something else but on face expression he shows something else. Literally "YES inside heart but NO on face expression"


308. जितना गुड़ डालोगे उतना ही मीठा होगा।

Roman Script : Jitna Gud Daloge Utna Hi Meetha Hoga
English Equivalent / Meaning : As more sugar you add (to any soft drink) , more sweet it will become.


309. सावन हरे ना भादों सूखे। 

Roman Script : Swan Hare Na Bhado Sookhe
English Equivalent / Meaning : Ever Green


310. गधे से आदमी बनाना।

Roman Script : Gadhe Se Aadmi Banana
English Equivalent / Meaning : To convert to donkey to a man. This is used when one wants to say that by applying some strategy he can change a person from fool to wise or from careless to careful or from naughty to disciplined.

Roman Script : Abhi To Beti Bap Ki Hai
English Equivalent / Meaning : Still the game is in your favour.


312. होइ सोइ जो राम रचि राखा। 

Roman Script : Hoi Soi Jo Ram Rachi Rakha
English Equivalent / Meaning : Only what God has decided will happen.


313. बॉस के अगाड़ी और घोड़े के पिछाड़ी नहीं चलना चाहिये , क्योंकि दोनों लात मारते हैं।

Roman Script : Boss Ke Agadi Aur Ghode Ke Pichadi Nahi Chalna Chahiye , Kyonki Dono Lat Marte Hain
English Equivalent / Meaning : One should not walk ahead of boss or should not show smartness to boss and should not walk behind horse because both kicks. Simply saying bosses are highly unpredictable.


314. मिट्टी में मिला देना।

Roman Script : Mitti Me Mila Dena
English Equivalent / Meaning : To raze to the ground


315. मार के आगे तो भूत भी नाचते हैं।

Roman Script : Maar Ke Aage To Bhoot Bhi Nachte Hain
English Equivalent / Meaning : Even ghosts / devils are afraid of being beaten. Means hitting / beating / attacking is many times a good solution even when an facing a tough opponent.

316. अपना मारेगा तो छांव में गेरेगा।

Roman Script : Apna Marega To Chanv Me Gerega
English Equivalent / Meaning : Relative will have at last some pity on you. It means dealing with known known is better than dealing with unknown person.


317. घुटने पेट की तरफ ही नभते हैं।

Roman Script : Ghutne Pet Ki Taraf Hi Nabhte Hain
English Equivalent / Meaning : Literally "Knees bent towards belly (and not towards back)". It means behavior of a natural friend is quite predictable.


318. थूक में सत्तू घोलना

Roman Script : Thook Me Sattoo Gholna
English Equivalent / Meaning : To build castle in the air


319. नाई नाई बाल कितने ? जजमान अभी सामने आ रहे हैं।

Roman Script : Nai Nai Bal Kitne? Jajman Abhi Samne Aa Rahe Hai
English Equivalent / Meaning : Literally "A customer asked the barber for how many hairs he had. The barber replied , 'Please wait sir , you will get to see yourself in few minutes, when I will cut them'." This is used when someone is anxious to know some answer/result of his, but within some time he will naturally get to know himself automatically.


320. चित भी मेरी पट भी मेरी

Roman Script : Chit Bhi Meri Pat Bhi Meri
English Equivalent / Meaning : Win Win situation for myself on both / any ways.

Roman Script : Thali Baithe Non Me Haath
English Equivalent / Meaning : Inviting unnecessary troubles by doing nonsense works


322. गुड़ खाये और गुलगुलों से आन करे।

Roman Script : Gud Khaye Aur Gulgulo Se Aan
English Equivalent / Meaning : Literally "Ready to eat sugar, but now sweets (because of its high sugar content)". This is used when some one tries to avoid eating something due to health concern but ready to eat its derivatives. Or when someone tries to avoid a situation but ready to involve in derivative of same situation.


323. धीरज धरम मित्र और नारी , आपत काल परखिये चारि।

Roman Script : Dheeraj Dharam Mitra Aur Nari , Aapat Kal Parakhiye Chari
English Equivalent / Meaning : Patience, Duty, Friend and Wife are tested in difficult time.


324. करे कोई भरे कोई।

Roman Script : Kare Koi Bhare Koi
English Equivalent / Meaning : Somebody pays to someone else's deeds.


325. बिल्ली के गले में घंटी बांधना।

Roman Script : Billi Ke Gale Me Ghanto Bandhna
English Equivalent / Meaning : To bell the cat

326. जो बोले वो ही कुण्डी खोले।

Roman Script : Jo Bole Vo Hi Kundi Khole
English Equivalent / Meaning : He who initiates /speaks first will have to take the ownership of the task also. So, if you don't want to take responsibility of a tasks it is always better not to take initiative in talking about that.


327. बिल्ली को देखकर कबूतर आँख बंद कर लेता है।

Roman Script : Billi Ko Dekhkar Kabootar Aankh Band Kar Leta Hai
English Equivalent / Meaning : A pigeon shuts his eyes on seeing a cat (but the cat still kills and eat him). This used when a person ignores a known coming problem, thinking by ignoring he can avoid the problem. But is proves to be his mistake


328. सांप कितना भी टेढ़ा चले, बिल में सीधा ही घुसता है।

Roman Script : Sanp Kitna Bhi Teda Chale , Bil Me Seedha Hi Ghusta Hai
English Equivalent / Meaning : How so twisted a snake crawls ,  it goes straight into the burrow. Means a person has to behave correct in its close surroundings.


329. राम से बड़ा राम का नाम।

Roman Script : Ram Se Bada Ram Ka Nam
English Equivalent / Meaning : God's name is bigger than God. It means generally in problem we chant God's name and mostly the problem is solved positively, so the God's name is even bigger than God.

330. भरोसे की भैंस पाड़ा ना दे जाये ।

Roman Script : Bharose Ki Bhains Pada Na De Jaye
English Equivalent / Meaning : A trusted fellow may not live upto your expectation.

331. पानी कितना भी जोर मार ले , बहेगा पुल के नीचे से ही।

Roman Script : Pani Kitna Bhi Jor Mar Le, Bahega Pul Ke Neeche Se Hi
English Equivalent / Meaning : There is a limit of every thing. Literally "What so ever high is water / river currents, finally it has to flow under the bridge". 


332. करंट और पानी अपना रास्ता ढूंढ ही लेते हैं।

Roman Script : Current Aur Panu Apna Rasta Doondh Hi Lete Hain
English Equivalent / Meaning : Current and water finds their way. It is used when something natural is obstructed.


333. जिस गाँव जाना नहीं उसका रास्ता भी नहीं पूछते।

Roman Script : Jis Ganv Jana Nahi Uska Rasta Bhi Nahi Poochte
English Equivalent / Meaning : Need not ask the way to a village where you do not intend to go. This is used in advising someone to not to waste time on unrelated tasks/queries


334. मुर्गा बाँग नहीं देगा तो क्या सवेरा भी नहीं होगा।

Roman Script : Murga Bang Nahi Dega To Kya Savera Bhi Nahi Hoga
English Equivalent / Meaning : If the rooster does not budge, will it not be dawn


335. खाकर चने आना और डकार बादाम की लेना।

Roman Script : Khakar Chane Aana Aur Dakar Badam Ki Lena
English Equivalent / Meaning : To pretend to be rich. Literal meaning is "Eating grams but burping like eating almonds "

English Equivalent / Meaning : Wild Guess

339. आग में घी डालना।

Roman Script : Aag Me Ghee Dalna
English Equivalent / Meaning : Literally "Pouring Ghee (butter) on fire". It is used /said when someone tries to increased the conflict by saying / doing provoking words /actions.

340. भूख में किवाड़ भी पापड़ होते है।

Roman Script : Bhookh Me Kiwad Bhi Papad Hote Hain
English Equivalent / Meaning : Anything can be eaten when you are hungry or everything is accepted when in need or any advise is welcome when desperately required.

English Equivalent / Meaning : Blind faith


345. सूरज को दिया दिखाना।

English Equivalent / Meaning : Show lamp to sun.

English Equivalent / Meaning : Lotus blossoms / grows in mud.


349. आटे दाल का भाव मालूम पड़ना।

Roman Script : Aate Dal Ka Bhav Maloom Padna
English Equivalent / Meaning : Literally "to get to know prices of flour and pulses". Actually it is "To come to know reality of toughness of life (or anything else)".


350. आसमान पर थूकना।

Roman Script : Aasman Par Thookna
English Equivalent / Meaning : Literally "To spit on the sky". Actually it is used when one works beyond his status.
